Making DITA Work on April 21
$200 (with Conference Registration)/$300 USD (workshop Only)
Hal Trent & Frank Miller, Comtech Services, Inc.
Join us to examine the end-to-end process of DITA publishing. In this workshop, you will gain a better understanding of the entire DITA publishing process, starting with the Information Model and ending with a published document. You will markup sample topics according to a sample Information Model and will then walk through how tagging differences affect the final output. You will apply different transformation scenarios to gain a better understanding of how markup can directly affect the final PDF or HTML output. You will use DITA tagging to semantically structure your information and leverage XSLT and XSLFO to create specific document output. You will learn about the available mechanisms for conditionally publishing your documents.
